Alternate Text Browser is an application that makes it easy to browse through text and HTML files (also XML), syntax highlighting for several programming languages available (C++, Pascal, PHP, Perl). Alternate Text Browser offers the possibility to open multiple text-files and to reload already opened ones. In addition it is possible, to audit text-files in time and to reload them, if changes are detected. This program includes also a Hex-Editor with multiple methods to display files as bytes. Syntax highlighting inside the editor is available for several programming languages (C++, Pascal, Visual Basic, PHP). You can extend the list of file types for each language till it fits your needs. If you don't need any highlighting you may easily turn it off. Included translations: English, German, French, Spanish, Swedish, Italian, Russian, Greek, Japanese.
