EmData brings the full layout, design, typographic and picture publishing power of QuarkXPress or Adobe InDesign to bear on all your data-driven repetitive publishing tasks. Simply put, EmData works like a mail merge on steroids. You create a template in a normal document, with rules that tell it how to format your text and graphics. Then, with a single menu invocation, InData builds your documents at jaw-dropping speeds--up to hundreds or even thousands of pages per hour.
What is new in this release:
- Adds support for InDesign CC 2017.
What is new in version 2.3.3:
- Fixes a problem where Import from File could fail without reporting a problem. (Mac OS X 10.11 “El Capitan” only)
- Re-enables the Import dialog’s Stop button. (CC, CC 2014, & CC 2015 only)
- Fixes a problem where posix-style paths like
/Users/em/Pictures/Rhubarb.jpg
weren’t being handled properly, resulting in missing files. (Mac OS X only) - Fixes a problem where filenames with an embedded colon (displayed as a forward slash in Finder) were not being handled properly. (Mac OS X only)
- Improves path handling so that a path like
Pictures/apple:red.jpg
is now treated as a posix path rather than an hfs path. A path like:Pictures:apple/red.jpg
is still seen as hfs. (Mac OS X only) - Improves support for Windows unc paths like
[servername][sharename]...
, where thesharename
becomes the OS X volume reference. (Mac OS X only)
What is new in version 2.2.3:
Corrects a limitation of the File to Import dialog so that All Files can now be shown as selectable.
What is new in version 2.2.2:
- Fixes a problem introduced in the 2.1 release where the File to Import dialog could inadvertently reset the import's subfield delimiter even if the dialog's Format setting isn't changed.
- Disables the import progress dialog's Stop button because pressing it can cause InDesign to become unstable. We'll be looking into this problem for a future release and hope to have it re-enabled soon. (CC & CC 2014 only)
