FORTAL provides a more portable way to share/ transfer files and folders
Imagine if you were to send a file to your friends or co-workers, how would you do? Option 1: Attach the file in the email and send it to them. What if the file is too big? Not only it is time consuming to attach or copy, it is also causing excessive data usage (the internet speed can be very slow sometimes).
Option 2: Copy the file to a pen drive and pass it to them. Everything in the pen drive will be disclosed. You have no control in what is to be shared and what is not.
With FORTAL, you don't have to attach or copy the file, you only need to drag the file or folder to be shared to the software (this is not to copy or move the file), a link will be available and your colleague can view or download the file through the link as long as they are within the same network.
You have the option to set a password to protect your folder. You can also allow others to upload files to that folder.
Another example of using FORTAL is on the smart TV. You can share the videos in your computer through Fortal so that videos can be played on smart TV (bigger screen, good sound system, so why not?).
Moreover, you don't have to install any apps on the device to access the shared folder/ file. The files are accessible through a web browser, and this is what makes FORTAL a very portable way to share or transfer file. Smart phone, tablets, smart TV and computers are all come with browser. Thus, file sharing between your devices and computers are easier with FORTAL.
