This program merges lists of data into text templates to create fully populated text files. The output files can be Web pages, XML files, RSS Feeds or any other varieties of text files. The input data can be obtained from a tab-delimited data file, or directly from a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. You can record and easily play back recorded scripts, making it easy to re-generate your output text files when your data changes. Tab-delimited files can be easily exported from most spreadsheets, databases, address book, and many other programs. PSTextMerge can also perform other operations with tabular data, extracting and merging data from multiple bookmarks files, address books, and other formats.
What is new in this release:
Updated UI to use JavaFX and Java 8. Removed all Swing usages.
What is new in version 4.10:
Refactored code for greater reuse
Refactored code to allow chunks of PSTextMerge to be used by other apps as well.
Converted to Open Source
PSTextMerge has now been released under the Apache License Version 2.0.
Added Else Command
Added an else command, which can be used following an if to invoke the opposite condition.
Refined Template Variable Names
The variable 'templatefilename' now only returns the file name without the enclosing folder, and the new variable 'templateparent' now returns the enclosing folder. These are now consistent with the operation of 'datafilename' and 'dataparent'.
