Life is too short and time is too scarce for you to surf the web everyday. Let retickr simplify things for you by intelligently streaming all of your relevant news and social media straight to your desktop. Facebook, Twitter, RSS... All in one place ready for you on your own terms.
Organizing music by playlists makes sense. Separate songs by mood, activity, time of day. Why not do this with your news? With retickr you can build your playlists to organize your time. Technology, Sports, Celebrity Tweets, etc. Switch between these playlists on-the-fly and stop wasting time with bookmarks, tabs, and browsers.
Why does our online experience have to be so complex? If you think about the internet as a whole it's primary purpose is to do two things: allow universal access to information and connect people. Don't you feel like there should be a simpler way to achieve this? With retickr we are constantly trying to make this experience as easy as possible. See an interesting story stream by? One click and you are reading it. Another click and you are sharing it across Facebook, Twitter, and email to the people you care about. One last click and you are back to what you are doing.
Less noise. More news.
What is new in this release:
if what we launched in August was considered a product, this version is much, much closer to a solution.
We have brought on a professional designer for retickr 2.0 and we have rebuilt retickr from the ground up. It looks pretty good and will continually get better this year.
We have changed the way we pull your news and you will now find much more relevant content. Under settings you can now find a time cut-off slider... want news no older than eight hours? Set the slider and we will loop today's content for you.
There are too many changes to individually list but trust us, it should be a much better experience. While we are really excited about retickr 2.0, we have a lot of really exciting features, upgrades, and fixes to roll out soon.
2012 feels like a good year.
